NBD SURGICAL HUB' Cook Eye Speculum is a surgical instrument widely utilized in the ophthalmology field to keep the eyelids apart in order to create and adequate access and view of the operating site. This device is featured with two slightly curved flat shafts; one of them fitted to an adjustable mechanism, two solid blades and a locking nut mechanism. The surgeon inserts the blades beneath the respective eyelids and proceeds to spread to an adequate length; after this, the retraction is ensured utilizing the locking nut, thus freeing the surgeon hands. The slightly curved profile of the shafts adapts accurately to the respective orbital margin.
